The Street, Hawkinge
Beau Architecture have successfully obtained planning consent for 5 bespoke 4 & 5 bedroom executive style homes on a large undeveloped parcel of land close to the centre of Hawkinge. The site is located outside of the defined development boundary of Hawkinge however the scheme was considered by planners to offer a sustainable form of development that was well integrated into the existing fabric of surrounding development.
The scheme was designed in a manner that recognises the landscaping importance of the site as well as the setting of an adjoining listed Farm House and the surrounding AONB. In response to the historical context of the site and the farming history of the wider area the development has been designed in a contemporary rural vernacular to reflect the small-scale farmsteads that once occupied the surrounding area.
