Woodland Way

A scheme for 70 student rooms contained within 14 self-contained flats a short walk from the University of Kent campus.

Planning approval was initially gained for two blocks of student flats that replaced an existing bungalow on the site. As a second phase planning consent was obtained for a third block containing a further 21 student rooms at the rear of the site.

Each block has three storeys of accommodation with the top floor contained within the pitched roof. The roof design which breaks the traditional pitched roof with a section of flat roof maximised the level of accommodation provided whilst keeping the overall roof height down in order to respect neighbouring building heights.
